Becoming "Papa"

Ever since I was little, he's always been "Papa."

The stern man who has a cabinet full of guns and isn't afraid to use them. The man who served in our military, hunted every year, and came from a small town in Pennsylvania. The man who worked hard for his family at Ridge Tool. The man who was struck by lightning, can build or fix anything, and feels like things are best if they're American made.

He's also the man who (tried) to teach me to play the organ and can play the accordian. He built birdhouses and had hummingbirds in his back yard. That lightning struck him while he was eating pie out of the aluminum tin, too close to the kitchen window.

But before he was "Papa," before he became a husband and the dad to two girls, he was the second youngest boy in a family of 11 siblings. Join me as I learn about John (Bob) Victor. The boy who would become, Papa.
